The NOCB is a civic band made up of approximately 60 musicians from all walks of life from  the New Orleans area.  The full band performs five to six times during the year and small-group ensembles perform for various events.

The season ends with the popular 4th of July concert at the bandstand in Woldenberg Park with the Mississippi river as a backdrop. The picture above was taken before the 2005 concert.

NOCB mission: To provide free public concerts by volunteer musicians to the public of the greater New Orleans area, to encourage and foster adult concert community, municipal, and civic bands, and to promote the performance of the highest quality traditional and contemporary literature for band.
