Last Sunday, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) hosted Play Dat!, an annual community side-by-side concert at Holy Cross School. Musicians from across the community, including students, teachers, and members of New Orleans Concert Band, dusted off their instruments and joined with the LPO to form a massive 150+ member orchestra for a day. It was a ton of fun for everyone involved, especially for NOCB members who participated! We'll see you at NOCB's first concert of the 2018-2019 season THIS WEEKEND at Audubon Park!
We encourage all of our supporters and lovers of the New Orleans cultural scene to check out Culture Collision on Wednesday, August 29 at the Contemporary Arts Center, from 5:30 - 8:00 pm! Thanks to all of our faithful supporters who came to see us Sunday. They were treated to a great concert centered largely mid 20th century dances. What fun. Come check us out at our next regular concert May 21 with an all new program.
In the meantime,
NOCB Clarinet Choir, NOCB Chamber Winds, and New Orleans Trombone Choir will be performing at Bach Around the Clock on Saturday, March 24 at 5:00 pm. Come and check out some of the smaller ensembles the NOCB has spawned.
