Our holiday concert is always a seasonal favorite, complete with your favorite classics and a few holiday surprises in store. We hope you'll join us this Sunday under Audubon Park's beautiful oaks as NOCB's 19-20 season kicks off at Music Under the Oaks, sponsored by Hancock Whitney and Bellwether Technology! New Orleans Concert Band will perform at 5 pm at the Newman Bandstand located near Magazine Street in Audubon Park; admission is free and open to the public. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we will perform a variety of works inspired by space and by the 1969 Apollo mission itself. We can't wait to see you there! Don't miss our annual FREE 4th of July celebration at the National WWII Museum, this Thursday from 1 - 2:30 pm at the US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center! With WWII era aircraft overhead, enjoy a variety of patriotic favorites and some fantastic new surprises. The band is incredibly excited to perform two marches that were found in the National WWII Museum archives written for the Higgins Industries, the famous New Orleans-based company that produced the vast majority of landing craft used to storm the beaches of Normandy and the Pacific Theater. These marches have not been performed since WWII -- don't miss this historic occasion. We'll see you Thursday!

A great New Orleans musician, Milton was the founder of the New Orleans Trombone Choir and former conductor of the New Orleans Concert Band.
