This Sunday, October 28 at UNO Recital Hall, get ready for a double-header concert featuring the New Orleans Concert Band and New Orleans Civic Symphony! The Symphony will kick things off at 2 pm, followed by NOCB some time after 3 pm. Don't miss this great opportunity to experience fantastic music performed by two of the Crescent City's longest-running volunteer ensembles. Last Sunday, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) hosted Play Dat!, an annual community side-by-side concert at Holy Cross School. Musicians from across the community, including students, teachers, and members of New Orleans Concert Band, dusted off their instruments and joined with the LPO to form a massive 150+ member orchestra for a day. It was a ton of fun for everyone involved, especially for NOCB members who participated! We'll see you at NOCB's first concert of the 2018-2019 season THIS WEEKEND at Audubon Park!
We encourage all of our supporters and lovers of the New Orleans cultural scene to check out Culture Collision on Wednesday, August 29 at the Contemporary Arts Center, from 5:30 - 8:00 pm! Culture Collision is one of the best cultural events of the season and is the best way to learn about the highlights of the cultural season from more than 70 nonprofit arts organizations. Plus, the event is free to attend and includes happy hour drink specials. NOCB will have a table at the event to share information about our upcoming season and meet the community.
