Last Sunday, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) hosted Play Dat!, an annual community side-by-side concert at Holy Cross School. Musicians from across the community, including students, teachers, and members of New Orleans Concert Band, dusted off their instruments and joined with the LPO to form a massive 150+ member orchestra for a day. It was a ton of fun for everyone involved, especially for NOCB members who participated! We'll see you at NOCB's first concert of the 2018-2019 season THIS WEEKEND at Audubon Park!

Thanks to all of our faithful supporters who came to see us Sunday. They were treated to a great concert centered largely mid 20th century dances. What fun. Come check us out at our next regular concert May 21 with an all new program.
In the meantime, NOCB Clarinet Choir, NOCB Chamber Winds, and New Orleans Trombone Choir will be performing at Bach Around the Clock on Saturday, March 24 at 5:00 pm. Come and check out some of the smaller ensembles the NOCB has spawned. We're entering a rather busy time for the New Orleans Concert Band starting with the Mid Spring Concert next week. In the next two months, we'll also be playing in Audubon Park and Lafreniere Park, followed by our Spring, and July 4th concerts! But, one step at a time.
Please come join us for our Mid Spring Concert on March 19 at 3:00 pm in the University of New Orleans Recital Hall. See you there! We've already arrived at the Christmas Concert. And yet, it's been a busy autumn for us. Thanks to everyone who's given us support. Hope to see you this Sunday, December 11 at 5 pm, and don't forget to bring canned food for our annual food drive for Second Harvest! Happy Holidays!
Welcome to a new season. And welcome to new band members!
